"Rachel Davidson was born in Pennsylvania about 1730 and moved with her parents to Rockbridge County, Virginia. During the Revolutionary War, Rachel and her husband lived in what is now Lincoln County, NC. After the Revolution they joined Rachels' brothers William and Samuel Davidson in their move to Bee Tree Creek which is now part of Buncombe County, NC near Asheville."
