Marriage	Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940 lists the groom as Benj. Davison; the bride as Rebeckah Numan, married in Campbell, Virginia, daughter of Nimrod Numan. Campbell County was established in 1782 from Bedford County. The county was named for Revolutionary War hero, General William Campbell, who is known for the 1780 Battle of Kings Mountain.
Note	Will of Nimrod Newman Sr, "3rd, I desire all the rest of my property, real and personal, to be sold by my Executors, and the amount of such sales to be equally divided after paying all my just debts and funeral charges, between REBECKAH, BETSY, SENEY, SALLY, PHEBY, BIRD, EMELEY and GARRET NEWMAN.
