Citation details: Memorial# 15419115 Added 19 AUG 2006 by Rod Note: T. Ed. Bodkin Dies Thursday of Pneumonia¶ Funeral Services for Mexico Man Will Be Held at 2:30 Saturday Afternoon at Home Here.¶ T. E. Bodkin, of this city, died at his home at 718 South Calhoun street, about 6:30 o'clock Thursday night, after an illness of a few days due to pneumonia and influenza. He was 52 years of age.¶ Mr. Bodkin was born in this county January 16, 1874, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Zack Bodkin. He had lived in Mexico practically all his life and at the time of his death was employed at the International Shoe Factory¶ .He is survived by his father, Zack Bodkin, who was 78 years old on Christmas Day, his wife, Mrs. Emma Jane Bodkin; two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Green and Mrs. Leland Breid, both of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Leslie Louder, also of Mexico. He was a member of the Mexico Methodist Church, and belonged to the Woodmen Lodge.¶ The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Bodkin home with Dr. F. G. Tucker in charge. Burial will be made in Elmwood cemetery." |
