Death	killed by lightning, taking shelter from a storm, in a tobacco barn with some neighbors and family members. Some were shocked, and horses were killed in the side shed. Monsie was buried at top of the hill by what is known as the old Durham house (his wife's family), which was ordered from Sears Roebuck, and still stands, in Goose Creek bottom
