Address: This cemetery is located near a defunct community called Whitlock on Whitlock Road off of Tates Creek Rd (169). It is located on private property at the top of a high hill on the Bogie Farm. The cattle have knocked the fence down and most of the markers. The cemetery is on the original Jacob 1767 and Christopher 1775 Kanatzar of Rowan Co, NC homestead that was settled in 1794. Citation details: Memorial# 48424794. Added 21 FEB 2010 by Ronald Note: James W. was buried on his farm at Million, KY, removed and reburied in the Jacob Kanatzar Cemetery at Whitlock, KY. His coffin was made of porcelain. It was so heavy to move, they had to drill holes in the bottom to drain the water and a little of James. |
