"Obit in the Thursday July 3, 1930 Sturgeon Missouri Leader. Transcribed as written. "--William Kanatzar Dead-- William Kanatzar was born in Madison Co, KY on Jan 6, 1848. Died at his home in Sturgeon on Thursday evening, June 26, 1930, aged 82 years, 5 months and 20 days. He united with the Christian church at Ariel in 1901. He was married on Nov. 15, 1876 to Miss Mary Ann Brakebill and to this union were born 10 children. Two having died in 1900. Those surviving are: His aged companion and the following children: Mrs. George Kanatzar, Mrs. Sam Barnes, Mrs. Elmer Palmer, of Sturgeon; Mrs. R. W. Greeno, W. C. Kanatzar, of Mexico; Mrs. Ed Myers, of Hallsville; and Mrs. C. B. Rutter, of Columbia; and 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, one brother, Isom Kanatzar of Sturgeon and one sister Mrs. Fannie Dunsmore of Indianapolis, Ind. Mr. Kanatzar lost his eyesight several years ago, and has been in poor health for some time. Funeral services was conducted at Union Church southwest of Sturgeon on Friday afternoon by Rev. Egan Herndren and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Kanatzar was a good Christian man and a kind husband and father and will be sadly missed in his home by his wife, sons and daughters. " "God touched him with His finger, and he slept, so may we say of this dear life--but not until a beautiful life was lived, a noble example of patience fidelity to truth were given. So it ever is, when a life that our departed friend and neighbor is nobly and divinely lived." "--Attended Funeral of W. Kanatzar--The out of town visitors attending the funeral of William Kanatzar were: Rev. Loyd Sapp, Mr and Mrs Bennie Rutter, Judge and Mrs Arthur Bruton, W. W. Woods, Mrs Charles Winn and son Paul, P. S. Woods. Mrs Gullie Trimble, Mrs. Frank Lyon, Mrs Roy Rutter, Mrs Emma Boothe, Andrew Kanatzar and family of Columbia. Mr and Mrs Robert Greeno and family, Mr and Mrs William Kanatzar, Mr and Mrs Carl Greeno and son of Mexico. Mr and Mrs Luther Powell, Mrs Davis, Mrs Powell of Centralia. Rev.
