"Illness Fatal To
Mrs. T. H. Young "
"Mrs. Eva Young, wife of T. H. Young, died at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 1933, at her home in this city. Becoming ill two weeks ago she gradually grew worse until the end.¶ The funeral was held at the Baptist church in Davis at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Rev. J. S. Ferguson brought a most comforting message. Interment was in the cemetery at Maysville, Okla.¶ Mrs. Sarah Evelyn Young, daughter of B. F. Odom, was born Feb. 12, 1884, at Farmerville, La.; moved with her parents to the Indian Territory in 1894 and settled near old McGee. She was married to T. H. Young in 1898 and to this union four children were born – one son Floyd, and three daughters, Velma, Vera and Fay, all living except Velma who preceded her in death eight years. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, four grandchildren, father, one sister and six brothers.¶ Mrs. Young was loved by all who knew her and had a host of friends who learned of her death with deep sorrow.¶ Among those from out-of-town present at the funeral besides the relatives were: Mrs. Ross Lillard and son, Mrs. Rosa Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Lois Mitchell, Ed Harbison, all of Oklahoma city; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Grantham, Mr. and Mrs. Coy Grantham and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grantham, all of Mountain Park; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Odom of Devol, Okla.; Miss Grace Flippin, Howard Fant, Pauls Valley, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sharp of El Paso, Texas."
"Card of Thanks ¶ We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their assistance and sympathy shown at the death of our dear wife and mother, also for the beautiful floral offering.¶ T. H. Young and Family."
