Note	The Roswell Army Flying School was activated on 20 September 1941. Its mission was the training of 3d phase aviation cadets in twin-engine aircraft. The school operated Beechcraft AT-11 Kansan twin-engine trainers and four (548th, 549th, 550th and 551st) Two-Engine Flying Training Squadrons. In addition to the flying school the Bombadier's school, operated 3 training squadrons also flying the AT-11. In 1943, three additional twin engine flying training squadrons were added and two additional squadrons were added to the Bombadiers school as additional runways became available. Note	Printed 15 November 1943 on page 9 of the Danville Bee Rites Wednesday For Lieut. Baugh Remains En Route Funeral services for Lieut. Joseph Franklin Baugh, Jr., who was killed in a plane crash near Boswell, New Mexico last Thursday, will be conducted from the Keen Street Baptist church on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock. The Rev. J. R. Hit, pastor, Chaplain Harlin Campbell of Camp Pickett and the Rev. O. A. Guinn will be in charge of the rites. Interment will be made in Highland Burial Park where military rites will be conducted by local veterans. The body is due to arrive early Tuesday and will rest at the Wrenn Yeatts Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral. His wife and month old baby and his father-in-law, the Rev. R. J. Barber are to fly back to Danville today. Lt. Baugh was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baugh of Sheppard Avenue.
