Note: "The 28th Regimant Tennessee Infantry (also known as the 2d Mountain Regiment Tennessee Volunteers) was organized September 28, 1861 with eight companies, and accepted into the service of the Confederate States October 3, 1861. One company was added October 21, 18y61, and another December 24. 1961. The regiment was re-organized May 8, 1862, when Companies D and H were united to form (2d) Company H. It was consolidated with the 84th Regiment Tennessee Infantry (Consolidated), this company forming a part of Company A of that regiment." 2nd Lt in, 2nd Lt out.
