Wade Worth Thomason went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Brown County and a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ. Wade was born on June 24,1935 to Worth and Ida Mae Thomason. He married his high-school sweetheart, Editha Joy Wilks, on November 20, 1954. She was the love of his life. As a young man, he worked with his father as a driller in the oilfields of West,Central Texas while also farming and ranching here and Brown County. In later years, Wade worked the farm with his' son Royce by his side. He was at home in the seat of a tractor and he loved raising cattle, often checking on them several times each day.
