Note: "Ken Zumwalt of San Diego, CA: Born 1771 in Virginia, died 1814 in Ohio. Married Martha Kimball before 1795. No record of children. Henry (3) may have had second wife. Widow, not certain which one, remarried and had a son named Henry Kimball. Henry (3) was the Treasurer of Clark Township, Brown County, Ohio in 1808- 1809. He built the first grist mill in the county and was a Colonel in Fourth Detachment, Ohio Troops, during the War of 1812. (See pages 520, 623 of "The History of Brown County, Ohio" published 1885 by Beers & Co. Chicago. Paul Reed's 1964 Book "The Andrew Zumwalt Family" said the location of his home was in Clermont or Adams County, counties that fringed the Ohio between Portsmouth and Cincinnati. Brown County was formed in March 1817 from both of these counties." |
