Note

"He came to Boone County, MO in 1834. He was the first of Christopher's children to come to Missouri. He settled in Bourbon Twp just south of the Riggs Cumberland Church. The farm is on what is now Oak Grove Rd a 300 acre state conservation area. His grave is unmarked.
Jacob Kanatzar was one of the many civilians that helped with the burial of the Union Soldiers at the "Centralia Massacre".
One of those Soldiers was Pvt. Gunby. A descendant of Pvt. Gunby's brother is a friend of mine. Imagine my surprise when I learned this.
Jacob's son John Jacob relinquished all rights to his father's estate in Sept. 1892. Jacob Kanatzar left his entire estate to his grandchildren. Most probate estates were done 90 days after death. If this is not final settlement date, then this would put Jacob's death about June 1892." - Ronald Kanatzar
