Note	The Telephone Register, McMinnville, Oregon, Thursday, October 28, 1943 "FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. G. WILKS PLEASANTDALE, Oct. 28 – Mrs. George Wilks, who had been ill for several months, died October 22 at the home of her son, Chester Wilks, near Salem. She was 77 years of age. "Her home for 36 years was in Tillamook. Before moving there the family lived in Dayton and Lafayette. One son, Chester, survives, and three grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Ethel Sales, died several years ago. "Funeral services were held Monday in Tillamook, with burial in the family lot there. She was a resident of Oregon for 71 years and was a member of the Pioneer association of Tillamook and a member of the Christian church there."
