While he had been in falling health for some years, he was able to be around town till a short while ago and his death was a shock to his many friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Wm. Harry Moore, pastor of the Methodist church, at the family home Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock and burial was in Oak Hill cemetery." Pallbearers were his grandsons, Perry and Blake McLean, Harry and LaVaughn Perry, and Holland and Gerald McCarver."
