Jameson John Jameson Montgomery County Court January 1819 A report of the commissioners appointed to allot to the widow of Francis Taylor, deceased, her dower in the estate of said descendant was returned to the court, examined and ordered to be recorded, which is accordingly done. Humbly complaining sheweth unto your worships your petitioners Robert Foster and Rebecca his wife Frances Taylor and Sarah his wife Hezekiah Foster and Susanna his wife Thomas Taylor and Hannah his wife Jacob Conetsor and Jane his wife sheweth that the said Rebecca, Sarah, Susanna, Hannah and Jane are the daughters of Richard Bartleson deceased and that their said father did by his last will and testament ^among other things give and bequeathe in the following, ^words That is to say, “ I give to my five daughters Rebecca, “Sarah, Susanna, Hannah and Jane two hundred acres of “Land to be run off between Zacharias’ and where I “now live to be sold and the price equally divided between them.” Now your petitioners shew that Zacharias Bartlison also lately refuses to divide and set off the lands thus given to your petitioners by their said father unless they will consent to have the same run in such a manner as to take in & include all the barren land belonging to the original tract and leave for him that is valuable which they humbly concieve is not agreable To equity or the intention of their said father in his said will – Your petitioners therefore pray your worships to order and direct that ^the Sheriff, with a Surveyor & a Jury be directed to go on the land aforesaid and lay off and divide the said land agreable to the said last will and testament of their said late father Richard Bartleson deceased and your petitioners ____ . ss: JC Wokes, att. for Complts
