The Hamilton Herald-News ¶ 18 July, 1991 ¶ Jesse Earl Pruitt, 78, of Hamilton, died Sunday, July 14 at his residence following a short illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 16 at the Park Heights Church of Christ with Jim Sullenger, Nick Pruitt, Herman Beachman, and Chris Frizzell officiating. ¶ Mr. Pruitt was born August 27, 1912, in Hamilton County to Jesse F. and Knoxie Stone Pruitt. He married Mary Ruth Stribling May 27, 1937. He was a farmer and a rancher. He was also a member of the Park Heights Chruch of Christ. ¶ He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Reese. ¶ Survivors include his wife; one sister, Fay Schrank of Hamilton, three brothers, Malcolm Pruitt, James Hubert Pruitt, and Ray Pruitt; and one son, Jesse Eugene Pruitt. ¶ Pallbearers were Bob Jarvis, Dane Marwitz, James Perry, Jim Pruitt, Steven Pruitt, Dale Pruitt, Byron Pruitt, Windel Eaves, Danny Reese, and Mark McMahon. ¶ Honorary Pallbearers were Tom C. Stribling, Jim Harter, Burl Jackson, Garland Streater, Frank Newhouse, C. T. Reese, Bert Schrank, Jeff Perry, John Bailey, Buford Olson, Herman Walton, Charnie Raibourn, Floyd Melde, Eldon James, P. M. Gerald, Roland Poe, and Henry Keller. |
